CVerve Privacy Policy

Core resume editing, ATS checks, storage, and PDF export run on your device. Optional AI requests send only user-reviewed text after explicit consent.

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Local resume data

Your resumes, including profile, experience, skills, and template choices, are stored in browser localStorage.

No account by default

The application does not require sign-in. Only optional, explicitly approved AI text is sent through the application server.

Browser based

Text-based and image PDF exports are generated directly in your browser.

1. Overview

CVerve is a local-first resume and CV builder. The data you enter is used to render the preview and create PDF files.

This policy will be updated if the product adds a backend, analytics, or third-party integrations.

2. Local Data

The application stores multiple resumes, template choices, the active resume ID, editor preferences, and PWA prompt status in browser localStorage.

This data remains on the device until you clear browser storage or remove it through the application.

JSON backups are created on your device. Imported backup files are read and validated in your browser and are not uploaded by CVerve.

ATS checks and job-description matching run in your browser. A pasted job description is kept only in the open page, is not autosaved, and is cleared when the page closes.

3. Technical Data

Hosting providers may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security, troubleshooting, rate limiting, and operation. Resume text is not intentionally written to application logs.

4. Third Parties

This version does not use analytics, payments, authentication, or resume file uploads to third-party services.

The optional AI assistant identifies its configured provider and model before each request. It sends only the source text and, when required, job description displayed in the consent dialog. It never sends the full resume automatically. The provider may process that text under its own terms and retention policy.

5. Security

Because data is stored in the browser, use a trusted device and clear local data when using a shared computer.

Backup files contain the resume information you entered. Store them securely and import only files you trust.

6. Changes

This policy will be updated when data handling, providers, or external integrations materially change.

7. Contact

For this portfolio version, use the project owner’s contact channel on the public project page or repository.
